About Our Pro-Lock Valve Lock System
A Pro-Lock valve lock system is a reusable and universal system that can replace high-priced security seals, padlocks, and chains, by either complementing or replacing existing devices. All Pro-Lock USA products comply with ASTM F993 (2006) and OSHA Standards 1910.110, 1910.144 and 1910.147. Our valve lockout accessories and products are ideal for the isolation of most types of valves used in the following industries:
- Oil & Gas
- Manufacturing
- Transportation
- Fire Hydrant Lockout
- Water Utility Authorities
- Retail
Valve Applications as Reusable Cable Locks for the Isolation of:
- Gate Valves
- Butterfly Valves
- Audco Valves
- Ball Valves
Our Pro-Lock lockout station is molded from Atofina PPC 9760, a high-impact copolymer polypropylene. It is UV stabilized, and all internal parts are manufactured from stainless steel. Pro-Lock items are used in conjunction with PVC-coated, multi-stranded, or galvanized steel wire that is either supplied, cut to the appropriate length, or left on the roll as required.
How It Works
No threading of wire is necessary. The wire is slotted in from the side. The top section of the lock is tightened by hand to secure the cable onto the valve. The Pro-Lock is then slid along to the optimum position, much like the knot of a necktie, and then locked onto the cable using the Pro-lock operating tool.
